Love this shot from previous post here - like the text on the Obama poster.
Sad to see Barrack Obama leave office; felt he was a great advert for the United States. Despite what side of the fence you sit on politically, I don't think anyone can say he isn't an honourable man with good intentions and always strived to use his position for good in the world.
Compared to the two previous incumbents who brought with them their fair share of scandal and unintended comedy, Obama held office with the right amount of deference, dignity and respect. I for one will miss him and reckon the US and world at large are worse off without him - certainly interesting times ahead for us all with Mr T .....
New Year and time for a very long overdue scooter wash and wax ! I'm not really one for shiny looking scoots; taking a more 'rough 'n ready' approach to my vespa - not maintenance and road worthiness obviously, which I do take a lot more seriously !
Being a devotee of original paint scooters and 'rusteration', I think the last time time I took a sponge to my vespa was definitely over a year ago, not that I'm proud of it...!
Had been meaning to do this since beginning of November and finally got round to it today on my last festive day off before the dreaded return to work. A cold day but dry and a few hours of TLC spent on my scoot in the company of BBC Radio 6Music - not a bad start to 2017 I reckon.
Happy New Year everyone, health & happiness for the coming year ; )
